Just a few

I'm so behind and life is still crazy so I'm just posting a few for now.

she pulled the basket over and got in all by herself. Poor girl we didn't have a rug for awhile and the tile is so hard.

Ava was so nice to share one of her princess dolls.

I caught a brief smile.

Dresden's newborn pics

I finally got around to taking and editing Dresden's newborn pictures. The first attempt was when my mom was here. Ava was being a little stinker and Dresden did not want to sleep. We tried again when my sister was here to help and he did much better. I didn't anticipate how hard it would be to take the pictures and be the mommy, especially after a c-section but it all worked out and I love these pictures. And thanks to my awesome husband for helping me set everything up! I'm so excited to have a new tiny baby that I can take pictures of that can't run away. To see more of my favorites click here!

I love his little smile in this one! I can't decide which edit I like better so you get to see both! :)

I love those cute little lips!

She loves him!

These make me happy! After we got Ava out of the tub(which is why she has wet hair and no clothes) she wanted to read books. Dresden was already sitting in the chair and she grabed a book and squeezed by him. We asked if she wanted to read him a book and she giggled, which means yes. She was so excited to sit by him. I love seeing her interact with him. She is so gentle and loves to rub his head and look for his toes. I hope this lasts! I love my two babies.

Lucky

I'm am so lucky to have such a great mom and sister! My mom flew out a few days after Dresden was born to help out with everything. We planed it for her to be here when he was born but my Dr thought we should do a c-section early because he was measuring big. He was only once ounce bigger than Ava, but he was born two weeks early instead of just one. It was so much fun having her here and so nice not to have to worry about how to entertain Ava. She took her to the park every day and sometimes twice a day. Ava looked forward to their walk every morning. She also did laundry, dishes, cleaning, and cooking. Then my sister came out and helped. It was fun hanging out and trying to figure out how to decorate our new house. And I got some much needed naps in. It was so hard to let them leave. They were both such big helps. Thank you guys soooo much!! It really made me miss living by my family. I'm still a little slow at getting around and I'm pretty sure I'm losing brain cells from lack of sleep, but I did manage to take a few pictures over the week. And my mom took some too.

These are the pictures Grandma took!

This one is my favorite!

She caught his little dimple!! I was so happy to see he has that one little dimple. You can only see it when he makes certain faces though. So cute!

Ava has been such a good big sister!

6 days old

I really have been taking alot of pictures I'm just slow at getting them posted! I took these when he was just 6 days old. All his clothes are still so big on him but that's a good thing. I want him to stay small for as long as possible. I just love holding him and watching him stare at me. I am so in love with this little guy. Even if sometimes he wants to eat every hour!! :)

Ava's 2nd Birthday Party

I still can't believe she is two! It's so much fun to watch her grow and learn new things. I love when she copies things that we do. She is adjusting to the new baby but still doesn't want much to do with him. Which right now I think is sort of a good thing! She is a great big sister and always wants to know where he is when she wakes up and she loves to show him her toys.

We had her two year check up and these were her stats... Weight: 28lbs Height: 35 inches.

We spend her actual birthday with just the three of us. We had our usual birthday Mickey Mouse pancakes after she opened her presents. Her big present was a slide we found on Craig's list on Valentines night for $50! I was so happy because it was $160 if we bought it new so we were just going to have to wait. She loved it too! It was nice it fell on a holiday so Eric could spend the day with us. We didn't end up doing to much because it was raining all day but we had fun hanging out together. The next day we had a little party with all her friends. She was obsessed with Horton Hears a Who so we made her a Horton cake. It was harder than we thought but it did end up looking like an elephant! She loved showing her friends her new toys and of course all the attention she was getting. It was fun to see her have her own day and make everything about her. Thanks everyone for coming!

Opening her presents. She got Madagascar 2 and has watched it almost everyday since!

new purses!

Her other favorite present! She got a doll house from Grandma. I loved her reaction when she opened it. She played with it for the rest of the day and for like a week when we came down the stairs in the morning she was so excited that it was still there!

Loving the slide!

sending her doll house people down the slide

It came with such cute stuff

She was so hyper and loved all the attention. It was so fun to see her so excited!

The Horton cake! Eric carved the shape and I frosted it. It was quite the project!

So happy after we sang happy birthday to her!
