Ava's first day of Preschool

Ava had her first day of preschool on her Birthday! She was so excited to go but more excited to wear her new backpack. I feel like she has been waiting to go for the longest time. Every time she asks Eric where he's going and he says school, she says "I go to school too...and a backpack"! The bus hadn't started yet so Dresden and I took her. It felt so crazy to be taking her to such a big girl school (It's at an Elementary school about 5 minutes away). I met her teacher and they were outside waiting for the kids. She got to hold on to a ring on this big rope thing with all the other kids. There is only twelve kids in her class so I like that. We came to get her and she was excited to see me but wanted to ride the bus like the other kids! :) I'm so excited for her, it's been so good for all of us! She gets to go to school and learn and be with friends and I get to get stuff done around the house and spend time with just Dresden.

After she came home she was kinda telling me about it but not really. She did tell me they had animal crackers for snack though! haha. But we went outside and she was playing with chalk. I said why don't you write you name. She always says "NO" but this time she said "okay"! She takes the chalk and write an "A"!!! I was so surprised and make a huge deal. She got so excited and started writing them all over, even on the walls of the house! She also started counting everything. I swear she just seems smarter already! :) She has been doing awesome with school! I could not be happier! She has also decided that she LOVES her new bike. She is so good on it now!

3 year check-up

Ava had her 3 year well check a couple days ago. I was so happy to see that she wasn't afraid of the Dr. or nurse. She was soooo good! She did everything they asked and I think she almost liked it! She wasn't too crazy about the shot but after I told her she was getting a band-aid, and going to the park where she could show her friends she was fine. :) Here are her stats:

Height: 38 1/2 inches- 75%
Weight: 33 1/2 lbs - 50-75%

I forgot to write down some of the things Ava is saying that make us laugh! She really has a cute little personality. I have no idea where she comes up with some of this stuff.

-Yikes!(seriously one of my favorites right now)
-putting her finger on her lip..."mmmm" then putting it in the air "idea"
-good plan mom
-"daddy, I soprise you....SOPRISE"(Eric's favorite)
-While I squirt her HAIR with WATER... "ouch"

Those are just a few of our favorites! She definitely has her naughty/stubborn moments but for the most part she is a very fun, sweet, caring, innocent, little girl!

Later that night

After the big princess party we brought the kids home to take a much needed NAP! Then we headed to Red Robin with some friends. It wasn't for Ava's birthday but Eric still told them it was her birthday! She was sang to and got a yummy dessert! After we went to get Ava a new backpack for school! We got home and Dresden was still obsessed with Ava's new bike! He wanted to ride it and push it around and never stop. He would throw a fit when Ava was on. Lucky for him she was a little nervous. She kept saying "too scary, Dresden's turn"! So Dresden happily stepped up and rode the bike! :) Ava was sweet and even cheered for him. We had a great day and I hope Ava did too! We love you baby girl!

Ava's 3rd Birthday Party

My baby girl turned 3! We actually had her birthday party the day before because it was a holiday. We had a Princess Party with her friends. They got the Royal treatment from the time they walked in on the royal "pink carpet" where we painted nails, decorated princess wands, danced to Ariel music and ate pizza! Ava was so excited for all her friends to be there. We ended the party with a little princess parade to the park where we ate cupcakes and ice cream! We had fun and I know Ava did! Thanks to everyone for coming and making this a great birthday for Ava!

Valentine's Morning

I loved Valentine's day! I woke up to Eric making breakfast and a thoughtful little present! Eric also picked up a little present for the kids. We had to move quick because we have the early church but it was nice to have a big breakfast with all my loves! Thanks hun! I love my little family!

Ava had a little play date with her friend KD and they made these cute Valentine's for Eric and I. She was so excited to show both of us. i totally love stuff like this. Thanks Brittany for the cute idea!

Visitors

We LOVE visitors! Eric's brother Justin and his wife and kids stopped by on their way home from Disneyland. They were so sweet to bring the kids birthday presents. Ava got some cute Disney Princess 's and Dresden got some cool cars! They both loved them. We got to hang out until Eric got home. Then Justin was nice enough to treat us to a yummy Red Robin dinner! Thank you so much guys! We loved having you. Neither of them would let me take their picture but he looks alot like Eric and Mel is adorable with a cute little pregnant belly! I did get some of the kids though. Ava loved playing with Gabe and Tug.

This is Ava the next day. She say's "mom, you play princess with me pleeese". She still loves playing with them. She lines them all up and turns them all around.

Super Bowl Party

This is a bit out of order but oh well. We had such a good time watching the football game at the Winward's. The food was great and the kids all had fun! Karrissa got them some fun melting beads, and bracelet crafts. The guys were a little more interested in the game than than girls but we had fun chatting.

Ava somehow lost her earring so we get some new ones! She of course picked out the biggest ones there. They are cute little hello kitty ones though! She loves them and won't let me switch them out! I took a picture before we headed over there! :)
