First day of pre school

Ava had her first day of preschool September 8th. She was so excited and she pretty much knew the drill since she was able to go for 4 months last year. Since we moved it is at a new school with a new teacher. I took her the first couple of days til the bus got all worked out. The first day I walked her in with the rest of the class. I kept looking around and immediately noticed there were no girls there. So I asked if she was the only one...and sure enough she was! Um that's weird! For some reason I was totally uncomfortable with that. I didn't think it was fair for her and was not going to help her social skills at all! I really felt that she needed a girl to connect with and learn from. So I called Early Intervention and asked them if I could change schools or move to the afternoon. They finally called me back and now she is is the afternoon class! Yea!! It's with older kids but there are 5 girls! I'm pretty spoiled right now since Dresden is napping in the afternoon and Ava is at school 4 days a week! Things are great and she loves school. She even has homework this time. She actually loves to do her homework too. She still gets speech a couple times a week. She was given a folder with things to review for speech. I was going over them with her and was surprised how well she did. So well I forgot that her speech was even as issue! It's not perfect but so so much better than it was. I'm so proud of her. Sand Hollow

After the Utah trip we headed to St George to hang out with the Nelsons! We had a blast on the boat! The kids took awesome naps and we had fun wake boarding and getting some sun! Thanks guys!

Friends BBQ

Before we left Utah the Holindrakes were nice enough to host a little BBQ in their amazing backyard with eveyone. It was so fun getting so see everyone and their cute kids. It was surprisingly cold that night but we all had fun!

Talent Show

My sister had the idea to do a talent show for all the grand kids! It was the cutest thing ever and I can't wait til next year! Robyn went all out on the decorations and have everything in order. The kids were all so excited and really got into it. The pictures absolutely don't do the actual thing justice but they are still cute. I forgot to download the video from my moms camera so I'll have to do that part later. Ava did the hokey pokey and Dresden danced and played the rock band drums! It was great for all the kids to watch and cheer each other on.

18 months

I probably say it all the time but I have no idea what happened to my baby! Wasn't he adorable!

Anyway he turned 18 months while we were in Utah. (He will be 19 months tomorrow) I'm a bit slow at getting this up. He has changed alot since the 15 month update. At the moment Dresden loves dogs, cars, motorcycles, books, Buzz Lightyear & Woody, Lightning McQueen, & babies(he is so sweet with them, pats their backs, lays them down on pillows, and kisses them) Eric doesn't love that and it seems like every time he see's him playing with girls toys we end up buying another BOY toy! :) And another favorite thing is a "show". It sounds more like a whistle when he says it though and it's the funniest thing. He is obsessed with Shrek right now! About 99% of the time he asks for it, it's driving us all crazy! But he also will watch Wow Wow Wubbzy, Little Bear, Super Why, Strawberry Shortcake( I know:), and Letter Factory.

He loves to eat!! He likes cereal, blueberry pancakes, go-gurt, cookies, candy, chicken nuggets, oatmeal, and his very favorite...Ice! He loves to eat ice. It's so nice when we go out because he is happy with lots of small ice cubes on a napkin.

He is talking so much more too! It makes me so happy and it is still weird to her him say words. He will try and say almost anything we ask now, although we do get told "no" alot when we ask! If we catch him in the right mood we always find out he can say more than we thought. He has more words than I care to count which is a good thing. But my favorites are: shooo(show), shre (shrek), hi, mumin(muffin), hotdo(hot dog), Aba(Ava), one mo (one more), peas(please), whr go(where go)car, and bus! He is starting to have little conversations we just have no idea what he is saying. Which is sad because he knows exactly what he is saying and is ust waiting for us to figure it out.

We are working on the binky thing. I carry one in my purse but try and only give it to him for naps and bed time. I already know it's going to be alot harder than it was with Ava! He loves his "bibi"!

This kid has some attitude! He throws fits all the time. So naughty!!! We've done time out a few times but are going to to start doing it alot more though.

On the other hand he can be the sweetest little thing! Especially toward Ava, he really loves her so much. It's so sad when Ava gets on the bus he just reaches out and says "Aba Aba wher go". He's a bit depressed when she is gone! He is getting better at giving kisses, for awhile he would just say NO! My favorite is reading to him in the chair or cuddling on the couch watching Shrek! Over the weekends be becomes quite the daddy's boy.

Dresden, I love you so much!!! You are such a happy silly boy with occasional attitude issues! you love to wrestle with Ava and Daddy. You LOVE when daddy comes home and you won't let him out of your sight for a good hour when he gets home. You think it's hilarious when you or someone else sneezes or burps! You always keep trying to burp after you've done it once. It's so cute! You sing along to a few songs in the car with Ava and have the sweetest smile when I turn around to see you. We are so happy and blessed to have you in our family! Love you!

Dresden and the dogs

This boy and dogs.. he is fascinated! Eric took the kids to his parents house while I did a photo session and this is what I came back to! He is naked because they ate ice cream and apparently he was pretty messy. But he is so sweet with the dogs. Grandma and Grandpa Wilbur got two new dogs that are adorable!!I'm not really a dog person but they were so dang cute. And seeing Dresden play with them almost made me want to get one...ALMOST! It was getting dark so I didn't get too many pictures but I couldn't help taking some of them playing!

He kept putting his fingers in the dogs mouth, he thought it was funny when he nibbled on his fingers! He and Ava both loved giving them their treats!

splash park

We were so excited to go to the new splash park we kept hearing about and it did not disappoint! We have lots of them in Vegas but this was a bit bigger. We went with my sister and two of my cousins. And I have to say that my cousins little girls, Lauren and Annie(she came at the end) are the cutest, sweetest girls ever. They are always so nice to Ava. She still talks about them! They had a blast. Becky's little boy James is only a few weeks older than Dresden. And Claire's boy Sean is not to far behind! It was fun hanging out with them and we can't wait to go back!
