First Steps!

Wow I can't belive she is taking steps already at 9 months! It's so funny to watch. She only takes a few but I swear every week she takes more. She was particularly happy last night when she got out of the tub and wanted to walk everywhere. It's a weird angle and crapy lighting but she's doing it!

More weekend pics

It was so much fun to hang out with family this weekend. On Black Friday my mom and sister-in-law and I got up at 5am which is 4am our time :( so we could catch the big sales. We got to Wal-mart, Target and Old Navy. It was so nice to get some Christmas shopping done. Eric did alot of golfing with my family while the girls went shopping.

On Saturday we did a little more shopping and then got together at my Uncles condo to watch the BYU game. It was tons of fun and a pretty intense game. My cousins are HUGE BYU fans and my brother was the only one cheering for Utah. One of his frinds made him a cake with blue frosting so we ate that after the game. We don't know for sure but we think it might have had a little extra blue dye in the frosting!(see pictures below). It was great hanging out and Ava loves playing with her cousins!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving this year and it was so much fun! We drove down Wednesday night and it was great to only have to drive an hour and a half instead of five and a half hours! Ava pretty much sleep the whole time. We stayed with my parents and brother and his family. My Aunts, Uncles and cousins were all there too. It was great seeing everyone, it makes me excited for Christmas! My cousins all had babies months apart so it was fun for the kids to get together. Thanksgiving day we ate at the Holiday Inn. It was fantastic as usual! I'm not very fun, I always get an omelet and a crepe. It's so nice not to have to clean up when it's over! I was excited it was Ava's first Thanksgiving too. She loved the food!
After we ate we got together with my cousins and played tennis! It was a blast! A great way to help work off our holiday meal. I don't know what happened to me I didn't take very many pictures of the fun things we did. I guess I figured since they read my blog alot they wouldn't need to see pictures because they were there! But here are some from Thanksgiving day! There are more to come!

Turkey Bowl!

Eric played in the Dental school's turkey bowl this last weekend! They slit up into teams, 1st year students, 2nd year students, and 3rd year's . The first and third years were so big they had to split into two teams (A and B). They each played 2 or 3 games. Eric's team took second! It was fun to watch with some of the other dental wives!

Happy 9 Month Birthday Ava!!

Wow 9 months old! I'm pretty sure she was 5 months old yesterday ;) She is such a sweetheart and I'm so lucky so be able to stay home with her all day! Just thought I would share some random things about our little Ava!

1. She love love loves walking around. She grabs my hands and pulls me along! She pretty much always wants to stand. She has even taken a couple steps!














2. She can pull herself up on things and loves to move around the furniture!
3. She still has no teeth. Which for now is not a bad thing!














4. The Vacuum is one of her favorite things to play with! She always wants to help me.
5. She loves music! If it comes on she will stop what ever she is doing and listen. Sometimes she even dances a little. Which just means that she shakes her arms real fast. It's the cutest thing ever!













6. She gives really good hugs after her naps and bath! They are my favorite! She really squeezes too.
7. She gives the best kisses ever. She just opens her mouth and leans in, sometimes there is a little tongue though!




























8. If she could be any where it would be the tub! She has loved it since we brought her home from the hospital! She wants to stand up alot in it. She just goes up and down the whole time! And thats also her favorite place to play with her daddy!
9.She loves anything that makes noise. She will shake it and smile the whole time! She shakes with both hands though even if there is only something in one of them! So stinking cute!
10. She sleeps with like 7 binkies, in the hope that she finds one of them if she wakes up in the middle of the night!

High Score!

One of Eric's classes just ended, Embryology(sounds fun huh), and every year the teacher gives out a T-shirt for the student with the highest score in the class (of 79 students). Guess who got it... yup it was Eric!! He's such a smarty pants! It's a random bright colored shirt that says "Davenport University" which is the name of his teacher. So I just wanted to say congrats to him! He works hard and studies alot with the boys! It's a good thing we have such good friends down here! Good job babe!

I was tagged by Karrissa to write 7 random facts/habits about myself. So here goes.

1. I HATE getting gas and going grocery shopping. They both take way to long and cost way to much. When we get back from the store I never remember what we bought and there's never anything to eat! I try and go as long as possible without doing either!

2. I'm obsessed with Ava having a bow on when we go out in public! And her bow has to match her outfit or she can't wear it (the outfit). It takes me so long to dress her and I end up changing her outfit at least once.

3. I make cookies at LEAST once a week. I love jello cookies, peanut butter cookies, and chocolate chip cookies... but I will pretty much eat any cookie. I've been addicted ever since I had Ava!

4. I hate to do things by myself, I will usually wait for Eric to get home(I know- that one I need to work on).

5. I LOVE water! I go through about 8 bottles a day. Not tap water though. Everywhere we we have lived it's so gross. I love Costco water! I think that habit started when I was pregnant.

6. I love reality t.v. mostly America's Next Top Model, Biggest Loser, Project Runway, Run's House, and Beauty and the Geek. I TiVo them every week!

7. One of my pet peeves is when people tap the back of my chair with their foot, like when your on a bench and someone is swinging their foot and it's bouncing the whole thing. I don't know why but that drives me crazy!

Well there you have it, I'm sure more than you wanted to know about me! It's actually hard to think of those things! So now I'm suppose to tag 4 other people! I am going to tag Natalie, Robyn, Nan, and Camille! I know just what you guys wanted to do! :)

Shark Reef

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on the strip. It's always fun to go down there and hang out. We decided to see the shark reef at Mandalay Bay! It was pretty cool. They have lots of sea creatures! Ava loved looking at the sharks, she wanted to touch everything. She kept reaching for the fish and hitting the glass with a confused look on her face! Then we just walked around some of the hotels! We even saw a couple weddings going on(of course we did it's Vegas) It's great living here, we always have something to do, to bad everything costs money! We do get a discount for living here though! Here are some pics of our little family day out!

Mess Maker!!

So Ava has reached the age where she crawls through the house and takes everything out of it's place. If it's in a basket, a cupboard, a drawer, or it's something that can be unraveled she will get it! She also loves riping things too, if there is a magazine on the floor she will tear it apart until it's in too small pieces for her to continue! I got home from Utah and Eric had cleaned the house ( I pretty much have the best husband ever ) and not an hour later the house was a disaster! It's so funny to watch but it sure sucks to clean up! This is what she did while Eric and I were getting ready for church!

Fall Leaves

Utah was so much fun!(Thanks mom for taking care of us!) We are back in Vegas now and I miss the scenery there. We don't get to see all the fall colors, it still feels like summer here. Last Tuesday Ava and I went to a park with my sister-in-law Angi and her two kids. It was alot of fun. There were leaves every where, Ava just sat in them and played! So cute! It was finally cold that day too! I was afraid I wasn't going to get a break from the hot weather in Vegas!
