New Years

New years we spend at my bothers house playing Bunco with "nice" white elephant gifts. It was so much fun! Even the kids had fun playing. Dresden of course didn't take a nap so he was in bed by 8. But Ava loved running around with her cousins. We all brought our own take out food and just had a great time hanging out and eating treats.

Randoms

We went to trafalga with my brother and his family, and my sister. The kids had a blast and loved buying random stuff with their tickets. Somehow managed to only take one picture, the kids were all over the place. Dresden was loving the bowling. He played like 4 times.

One of our twelve days of Christmas presents was this headbandz game. It's so cute and Ava really likes it. Dresden was funny, he would try but always end up telling the person what was on their head instead of answering the questions. :)

My sister got an ipad and we were all playing on it as well as the iPhones. I got pretty addicted to fruit ninja and dead man running!

Christmas

I was not so good at taking pictures during this little vacation and I didn't take any on Christmas eve. But we spent most of it with Wilbur's enjoying yummy soup and hanging out with everyone. The kids love playing with their cousins. There are mostly boys there so it's nice for Dresden! My mom didn't do much because it was her Christmas this year.

It was such a wonderful Christmas! I love that both the kids are old enough to really have fun with it. They loved leaving out a plate of cookies for Santa and some magic dust for his reindeer. I loved seeing their faces as they ran up the stairs to see if Santa actually came. He did of course. We decided not to do as many gifts for the kids this year and I'm glad because they were spoiled by everyone else! They were so cute with each other and was excited for what the other one opened. Even though we said we weren't going to do presents this year Eric surprised me with a new hoodie to wear to the gym. (sometimes it's like 19 degrees in the morning!) And I love it!

It was a quick morning with Church at 9am. So quick I didn't get a picture, but we all looked cute! :) After church we came home to change and head over to Wilbur's. We had a great time. I especially enjoying holding baby Izaiah! Then we came home to my parents.

We started with dinner and then opened the presents from each other. After than it was time for the nativity. Ava was so excited this year, she got to be Mary! And Dresden was one of the wise men. It's such a great tradition for them.

She sure made a beautiful Mary!

After that the adults played the money game while the kids colored. Then we opened the presents from my mom. It pretty much lasted all night. The kids each get a huge black bag of presents and love every minute of it. I love that we all get to watch each one open it too. So grateful for my mom who gives us so much and makes Christmas such a special time. She always puts so much thought into everything. And last of course is the Polar Express book and hanging bells on the tree.

This turned out to be Ava's favorite gift. She is still playing it every morning and night. But it's such great exercise I don't mind. And Dresden is pretty adorable when he plays!

Dresden and Drake playing with their "shoot guns" which is what Dresden calls it! All the boys got one. It was his favorite gift for sure. You can't really tell from the picture but it lights up when you shoot, oh and also makes super awesome sounds!

I don't know how it happened but Ava really does love " Justin Beaver"! She was thrilled to receive these jammies from Grandma.

I was having too much fun to take pictures of everything but we had a wonderful Christmas. I'm so glad we were able to come to Utah to be with family.

Polar Express Party

The kids always have a great time at the Polar Express party that my Mom plans. And since Dresden is potty trained he got to stay with all the big kids. They enjoyed popcorn, the polar Express movie and hot chocolate. Eric and I got to go out and get some last minutes things done. When we came back we took a few pictures of everyone before they left.

Innes Family Christmas party

We headed to Utah December 19th. I was not really looking forward to the 13 hour drive but we were able to break it up and stay in a hotel in Cheyenne, WY. It's about half way so we drove 6 1/2 to the hotel and then 6 1/2 to my parents. The drive to the hotel wasn't to bad. We left at about 5:30pm and I made sandwiches for dinner so we didn't have to stop and the kids fell asleep for the last 3 hours of the drive. And the last of the drive wasn't bad either, the kids watched movies, played with some magnets toys I made and took naps. We arrived in Utah earlier than we thought thanks to Dresden waking up at the hotel at 4am our time. The last three hours Ava asked "are we at Grandma's house yet" like 100 times. We were all so excited that it actually didn't seem like that long of a drive. And we got so lucky with the weather. There was no snow or rain the whole time we were driving!

We got there the day of the Christmas party so it worked out great. The party was held at Airborne Trampoline Arena! It was a blast and they had fun little areas for the kids. We did tricks, dodge ball games, and jumped in foam block pits. Even Ava and Dresden were doing tricks and having a blast! It was a great place for a party. After that we headed to a Pizza buffet and Santa came to bring the kids presents! I loved getting to see all my cousins. I'm so glad we were able to go!
