Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year! The kids had fun opening their baskets before church, and then after church and we headed to our friends the Nelsons for dinner. It was great hanging out and letting the kids play together. Thanks Nelsons!

I was in charge of treats for the kids so I made some cute buckets and rice krispy treats!

The kids had fun with the lincoln logs...and so did Eric in the back! :)

Easter pictures

The day before Easter I decided to try and get some good pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes because I knew we wouldn't have time in the morning. I made Eric and Dresden matching ties and then Ava a hair bow to match. I kinda like having pictures of them all dressed up!

It was getting dark but we attempted a family picture with the timer!
A few on Easter morning.

Ward Easter egg hunt

Our ward had a cute little Easter egg hunt for the kids a few weeks ago. They even had the Easter bunny come! I was kind of surprised at Ava and Dresden liked him. And Dresden really liked him. He wanted to be standing by him and giving him high fives the whole time. After they got gone taking a picture with him we had to tell Dresden to get off his lap! :) Karrissa took some cute pictures for me.

Last day of Dental school

Last weekend Karrissa, Camille and I got together to make cake pops for the boys it give to their professors, schedulers, and friends. We seriously made over a hundred cakepops in UNVL colors! It took forever but it's always fun hanging out and chatting! Then on one of the last days of school we all went down to visit the boys and pass them out. It was fun meeting some of his professors. Then we all went out to eat at one of the boy's favorite places for lunch... Heidi's! It was so yummy too! I still can't believe this part is actually over! It has been a long four years but a great four years. Eric has worked so hard and I am so proud of him. We are so sad to be leaving. But we sure are enjoying having Eric home all day with us!

I didn't have my camera so I'm glad Karrissa had hers! :)

Spring Celebration

Last Saturday we went to the Spring celebration with some friends. It was at Floyd Lamb Park and they had all kinds of fun carnival rides, blow up houses, a farmers market, and lots of cute little booths. The best part was that it was all FREE! Dresden LOVED all the rides and could go on them over and over. Ava was a little nervous but tried to put on a brave face. She had fun riding with McKinley. Even though it wasn't as warm as we wanted it to be, we had a great time with the Winwards and Mengs!

I love Dresden's face!

Dresden was so excited to pet this dog!

Homework and cookies

Ava really loves doing her homework. She will often say "oh I forgot to do my homework" out of no where. I wish they gave out more! She especially loves when daddy helps her. They were doing a fun one with lots of cutting and pasting (Ava's favorite) so I grabbed a few pictures.

I was making cookies at the time and Dresden was being so impatient waiting for them. He LOVES sweets. Ava would rather help me make them than eat them! He was so dramatic I took some of him too. I kinda love his sad face in the last one. Don't worry he eventually got some cookies dough!

Celebrating

I was so excited for Eric when I found out he passed the WREB, but I don't think I was nearly as excited as he was! Apparently he was worried, but I wasn't. I knew he would do great! To celebrate, we got together with some dental school friends and went to dinner at Yardhouse. They do a half off appetizers before 6. It just might be my new favorite place! It was so fun to visit with friends we don't get to see very often.

Conference

We had a great time watching conference this year. In the middle of the Saturday session our ward had a fun BBQ at a park. It was great for the kids because it wore then out so we got to actually watch and listen to the second half. On Sunday I thought I better put together something for the kids to do. I printed out some coloring pages and they actually did really well... for about an hour! :) But it was nice while is lasted. Ava loves coloring so it she had fun looking for the prophet and seeing what color his tie was. We are so thankful for Conference and all the great messages we heard.

Dresden was alot harder to entertain!
