Dresden walking

He finally started walking! He actually took his first steps about a month ago, walking back and forth to us (and Ava). Now he is getting so good. He gets a bit lazy but he likes doing it. It's so funny to see him walking. I love those little wobbly steps. We were hanging out in Ava's room so I decided to finally get a good video!

Disney on Ice

Last week Ava and I got to see Disney on Ice with a few of our friends. It was such a fun night. I was so excited I went to the Disney store to find a Tinkerbell or Ariel dress-up because that's who was going to be there. They had some super cute( and expensive) dress-ups. I was so excited when I saw an Ariel dress on the clearance rack. I didn't realize they had them in seasons! Lucky me! I was pretty excited about it!

Ava loved seeing all the princess's and being with her friends. I loved watching her face as each new story came out. She was really excited to see Mickey and Minnie and all the other clubhouse members! She loved all of them even though she has never seen Lion King. She was so funny when Prince Eric came out. (she sometimes call's Eric by his name) She said she wanted to go talk to him! Haha! And after that she wanted to go talk to everyone! We also had a free voucher for a little Kodak camera. Ava seriously LOVED it! She was taking pictures all night and it continued the next day. I can never get her to actually look at the camera but all of a sudden she was wanting me to take her picture and was even posing! I forgot how hard it was to not be able to see the picture after you take it!

I'm so glad we were able to go and spend a fun night with our friends. It was so nice to focus on just Ava!

This is what they watched on the way there! Getting all ready for all the princess stuff!

McKinley and Ava. They were both just staring and it wasn't even a princess, just a dress! I just thought it was cute.

Clare, Boston, Kylie, McKinley, Ava, and KD.

We can't forget the $7 popcorn we HAD to have!

Watching more Ariel on the way home!

Crab night

Monday night Dresden and I drove my mom to the airport! I always hate when she has to leave! We miss her so much! Thanks for everything mom!

After we met Eric and Ava at Karrissa and Joe's for a crab dinner with the Martins, Kinghorns, and Maurers. I of course did not eat the crab legs! YUCK! Most the girls had chicken! Later we played rock band and made cookie desserts. We always have a blast hanging out with friends.

These two were so funny playing Dentist! They have learned from the best! Ha :)

Dresden was LOVING the music, he was just clapping away!

The girls putting candy on their cookies

waiting patiently for their cookies to be done! So cute

Making cookies

On Sunday night we made some sugar cookies with my mom. Ava was having so much fun. She can be the sweetest girl when she is doing something she wants to do! She grabbed the food coloring and was putting it directly on the cookies! Such a helper!

Eric's "brother" Andy called and was in town coaching a soccer team so we invited him to dinner. He was an exchange student from Germany when Eric was in high school. He went home and then came back and lived with Eric's family. He has his own place now and teaches school in Utah. Ava enjoyed showing off for him all her gymnastic tricks. He even brought treats! Thanks Andy!

A trip down town

While my mom was here we decided to do something different, so we went down to the strip to see the Bellagio Gardens and walk around. We had so much fun! The strip is one of those things that you can't take alot of but it was just enough time to see some fun things. Our first stop was the Gardens. It was a pretty cool Chinese New Year theme. Ava loved the tiger and the flowers. Then we went outside to see the fountains. That was probably all our favorite thing, especially Ava. Then we headed over the the M&M Factory. I think it was safe to say Ava wanted everything and probably touched everything in the store! Grandma bought her a pack of stickers that have her name on each sicker and a bag a m&m's. She had fun picking which colors she wanted. Our plan was to go to dinner at a yummy Mexican place but the kids had had it and were ready to go to bed! It was a fun day hanging out with my mom. She is always so helpful with the kids. Thanks mom!

While we were in Utah we decided to get Ava a new car seat so Dresden could have her's. It's a bit early for him but he is 21 pounds and not fun on a 6 hour drive when he is facing backwards. They both love them, Ava thinks she is such a big girl and Dresden loves looking out the window.

My mom's not a huge fan of pictures but I made her be in at least one!

She was so funny, she just walked over there and sat down for about a minute and watched the fountain...with her tiny little bum crack showing! :)
The Belagio fountains are so fun to watch!

My favorite picture. You almost had to be there, she did not stop smiling and was just taking it all in. She was so happy!!

Outside the Harley Davidson store.

Ava and her book of stickers! There were no Dresden stickers! Sad:(

Back bends

So Ava still LOVES gymnastics. She has so much fun and is really starting to get into it. She has been practicing her back bends a lot lately. My mom was in town last weekend and we were getting ready to go out to dinner. Ava was deciding which toys she wanted to take with her. We got a few other things ready and noticed Ava doing this with her barbie and doll family. It was the cutest thing. She has such a funny little personality. She surprises us everyday, I love how her mind works!
