Shopping Day!

Last week Camille and I went shopping at Town Square. It's a new shopping center here in Vegas. It's a lot like the Gateway. I went to the grand opening a few months ago because I was so excited to go to H&M. It's my new favorite store! It was a lot of fun and the wheather here is pretty great right now! (sorry for all of you freezing in Utah) It's always fun to take Ava shopping, and by fun I mean time consuming! She doesn't like to sit in her stroller for very long but she is pretty good when she gets out. I just follow her everywhere. She pooped all over as well and that took some time cleaning up! Good thing I had just bought her some new clothes! She was actually really good. I'm lucky to have such a sweet baby! We ate lunch at California Pizza Kitchen-yum! And then on our way home we decided to go surprise our husbands at school. They were just doing some studying so we were able to go into the school. It was fun to see what Eric does all day. They showed us the sim-lab where they do all their actual dental stuff. Eric let Ava play with all his tools!

Camille, me, and Ava waiting for our table!

The only thing she would eat was a lemon!?

Daddy showing Ava one of the tools. It's the one that squirts water!

Hanging out in the sim lab. Notice the dummy in the corner. They stick the teeth in that and work on them! Kinda weird!

baby dinosaur

Eric just got a new assignment from school. He and Jarom are teaching elementry school kids how to brush their teeth. So last week he brought home this purple dinosaur puppet that has real teeth and a giant toothbrush to go with it. It was so funny when he walked in the door with it Ava ran over and got this huge smile on her face. She thought it was the greatest thing. Eric gave her the toothbrush and let her brush it's teeth. It has a tongue and it even spits water. She wanted to carry it around all day! She is not really afraid of much these days.

Big girl car seat

Last weekend we decided to buy Ava her forward facing car seat! It's a Britax Boulavard and it's super cute. And of course is very safe. It has excellent saftey ratings. I promise I didn't just buy it because it was cute!:) I'm pretty sure she is 20lbs right now and in less than two weeks she will be one!! We were so excited because we thought she would love to sit forward and see everything. We put her in it in the house and she was ok, she mostly just wanted to climb in and out. We went to dinner with some friends that night and decided to give it a try (don't worry it was a short drive, and we turned her back around after). She was so confused and kept tring to slide out. I think she got a little of her mom's claustraphobia! She hated the belt over her. In her other car seat she is already laying back so she was fine. All her toys were falling off her lap and she wasn't too excited about it. I kept looking back at her laughing because it was so weird to actually see her, and she just looked at me like "why do I have to sit like this"? I wish I would have gotten a picture of her face! It made me sad to see her in a big girl car seat! She is getting so big, but she has such a cute personality right now!

She acted like she couldn't move her head! So funny!

SUPERBOWL Sunday

Tonight (wow this is like the fastest post ever!) we had a superbowl party at our house. It was tons of fun even though Eric's team didn't win! We had some great pizza and lots of snacks! I even made some football cupcakes! It was fun to hang out and watch some football! We also got to change our DVR to one that has HD for free! Eric was pretty excited about that. Ava and McKinley pretty much just ran around and played with toys as usual.
We just bought a matching love seat to our couch and also a new dining table. Our little four chair table wasn't cutting it anymore! We got an awesome deal on a super cute table with 8 chairs! I am loving it! There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of room for the food! These are the pictures from the night!

Eric doing some studying on our new love seat before everyone came over!

The new table! It has a cool leaf built in it to make it square too!

These are my attempt at making football cupcakes!

We had a lot of great food!

Eric, Breann and Jarom, Dane and Camille, Joe, Karrissa, and McKinley watching the game

Eric turned her into a little "Pats" fan

Dane and Camille playing with Ava! She loves playing with them!

McKinley and Ava hanging out in Ava's car seat. I don't know why they love it so much. Ava is in a diaper because Daddy shared some diet coke with her and I'm sure you can guess what happened! :)

I can SEE!!

So I had my lasik surgery done last night and it was great!! The wait was forever but luckily the nurses were super nice. During my initial appointment all the nurses were obsessed with Ava. They played with her the whole time we were there and she was loving every minute. SO when we went in the the actual surgery they totally remembered us and let us go home and wait for most of it while the other patients had to wait there! And when I came back she sneakily put me in the room that was going in next! Yeah!! There were some people that had been there since 12:30 and our room didn't go into surgery until 5:30! So that was awesome! When it was my turn I wasn't really that nervous for the sugery, just the going home part. I've been so nervous that I'm going to mess them up or something. The actual surgery was like 10 minutes(5 min per eye). It was so hard to keep my eye open during the whole thing and the Dr. was not happy that I couldn't hold my right eye open! Hello isn't it everyone's reaction when there are things coming at your eye, drops being put in and bright lights shining in them to close your eye or flinch...Sheesh. My left eye went much better! It didn't hurt at all. It was weird when I could see the flap part that they cut going back and forth! Seeing that part sure motivated me to open my eyes as much as possible! Crazy! After it was over they put these glass pactches over my eye and I was out the door. Eric had to lead me out though. Well that was it and now I have lots of different drops I have to put in but I can actually see really well. The hardest part is remembering to put the right drops in at the right time! And I'm so thankful for such a wonderful husband who took such great care of me and Ava. He pretty much had her all day. Thanks babe I love you! I came home and slept from 7pm to 6:30am! Today I had a follow-up appt. (thanks Karrissa for watching Ava) and was informed that my right eye has a contact on it! What??? I was shocked, thanks for telling me yesterday! I guess it's acting as a bandaid-probably for all that moving around my eye did yesterday! I can take it off in two days! Well anyway thats my lasik story-not very exciting but I love being able to see with out contacts or glasses. It only gets better form here! I hightly recommend getting it done! I'm sure Eric is glad to, not only does it save us money in the long run he doesn't have to be the contact nazi at night anymore! Yeah!!

I couldn't take a picture of my surgery so I'm putting up someone elses! I know no one likes a post with no pcitures! :)

Don't ya just love technology!
Seriously I couldn't even see the big E without my contacts.. it some how was just not there??
