Clare's Birthday Party

Ava's friend Clare had her 3rd birthday party last weekend at Chucky Cheese. It was so much fun! They had little princess crowns for the girls and gave us all some tokens to play games. Ava loved the ride on toys, the slide and anything that involved throwing balls! She got to pick out some prizes too! A sucker, comb and stickers. We even got princess cake and a princess goody bag! Thanks so much Meghan and Aaron.

Ice Cream

I just found these on my camera. A few weeks ago we let Ava have her own ice cream from Cold Stone. She thought she was such a big girl. We also had some when my mom came to visit. She would make the funniest faces while she was eating it. It made her so happy. It takes her a minute to get past the fact that it's cold, but once she does she loves it! Alot of the pictures are when i ask her to smile. I just love her little personality right now!

21 months old

Ava is 21 months today!! I can't believe she is almost 2 but at the same time sometimes I feel like she is older than she is. Maybe because all her friends are already 2. She seems like such a big girl but there are times I realize she is defiantly 21 months! I haven't been very good at documenting the things I want to remember about her so that's what this post will be about.

New Words: Snack, show(my personal favorite), food, shoe, banana, stuck, park, slide. She is starting to say the first letter of other words too. She tries to say more but that's all we can understand. I'm so anxious for her to talk more!

Favorite Foods: Bananas, raspberrys, mac & cheese, turkey, fruit snacks, eggs, cheese, and grapes.
Favorite activities: playing the park with her friends, coloring, running, story time at the library.

Favorite shows: Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Pooh, Word World, Spookly the square pumpkin(we have had it recorded since Oct and she LOVES it. It's so cute, she gets so excited about the singing parts), Bugs Life, Letter Factory

*Ava does so many funny things all day long and I have so many pictures I need to post. There are so many things I want to remember about this age.

-she just started giving closed mouth kisses-finally. She even makes the noise
-She LOVES being chased

-She loves playing under the table
-she is finally getting her lower canines in

-lately she is obsessed with playing on the counter and in the sink. I put her there one day and she could play there all day with water and cups!

-She takes such good care of her babies. It's one of my favorite things to watch!

-she can say about 15 letter sounds and can recognize almost all of them
-she can be very naughty and doesn't really listen that well
-she loves rough house time with daddy

-she will kneel down with us for family prayer and fold her arms. Only for about a minute but it's the cutest thing ever.

-she has an extremely short attention span and never holds still

-She is a great cuddler!

We love you Ava!
I don't think she has ever fallen asleep in her high chair but I turned around for like 2 minutes and she was out!

Family movie night

On Monday Eric got out of school early so we decided to take Ava to the new Madagascar movie. She hasn't been to the movie since she was about 6 months old so we were a little nervous but she actually didn't do to bad. One thing we learned is not so sit behind anyone. She wanted to stand up alot and she would get so excited she would shake the back of the people's chair in front of us. She downed almost the whole bag a popcorn and had a hard time seating in her seat for very long but it was so fun to see her get excited about parts of the movie. She would start clapping and just squeal with excitement. She loves to "roar" like the lion, and make monkey sounds. We had so much fun and it was a really cute movie.

On our way to the movie. I just wanted to get a picture of her cute new earings! They are A's!

Belly pictures at 22 weeks

I had my 22 week Dr. apt yesterday. This early they are never that eventful so I thought I would let Ava come with me. I'm so glad I did too! They have a play area for kids in the waiting room and I never have to wait that long. She was a little scared when they took my blood pressure but when the Dr came in she was just curious about everything. I put her on my lap facing me and she pulled my shirt up when the Dr. asked where her baby brother was. She watched her put the gel on my belly to listen to the heart beat. I wish I would have had her grab my camera because Ava's face was so cute. She was so excited holding the little stick on my belly for a minute. It was so fun having her there. Eric went to every Dr. apt with Ava but has only been once or twice since he has school. Everything looks great and we're so excited for a tiny baby again. I had Eric take some pictures of my belly. It's such crappy lighting but I wanted to hurry and take some around the same time I did with Ava. It's finally getting big but not as big as I like it yet. Sorry there are so many I like to take every angle of it, it's fun to look back on.

Painting pumpkins

I thought I better hurry and get these pictures up since Halloween is over! We had a great Halloween day. It was Nevada Day so Eric had the day off.(YEAH) We did a little shopping and then went to a pumpkin patch to pick some pumpkins to paint. Ava had so much fun painting her pumpkin. Probably alot had to do with the fact that she got to sit on the table while she did it. She thought she was so cool! Daddy decided to carve his and I just painted and little one. It was actually a really fun little family activity. I love that she is getting old enough to do fun things with us. She still has a short attention span but she is getting there.
For some reason she was tired at about 6:30 so we decided to just put her to bed. She really didn't need any more candy and she since she can't say trick or treat we figured she wouldn't know the difference anyway. We only got one trick or treater too! Weird. But Eric and I had a good night just hanging out and watching a scary movie!

Trunk-or-Treat

We went to our wards trunk or treat this last week. We've never been to one before but it was lots of fun. They had games for the kids to play inside and then everyone went out to trunk or treat. We loved seeing everyone's cute costumes. Ava had a blast running around. I don't know if it's just her age or what be she literally runs everywhere she goes. She doesn't really have a goal she just runs! She looked so cute and she even kept her wig on the whole time! I was so proud of her. After going around to a few cars she would sit down and start going through her candy but she seemed to love every minute.
