Halloween Cupcakes

More Halloween fun! We got together with friends to decorate some Halloween cupcakes! We are really enjoying this Holiday! :) I'm so excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas too. It's finally cooling down here, and by cooling down I mean 80 degrees. Which is way to warm for me when it's the end of October!! But Ava had fun poking her finger in the cupcakes and eating the frosting and candy off them. She has a couple bites and is off to play.

Slide

Last week I did a photo shoot at a pumpkin patch and Eric brought Ava down after to play. She had so much fun running around looking at pumpkins. They had this big blow up slide she was dying to ride. Daddy took her down like five times. I went once with her but was a little nervous about it. She loved to "jump" at the bottom and dance. She is so much fun when she is doing something she likes.

Halloween Party

Last Friday for play group we got some of the kids together at the park to do fun Halloween activities. I was so excited to put Ava in her costume. We played at the park for a while, had lunch, and then we got them all in their costumes. The kids looked so cute and Ava had fun with the pumpkin stickers and sucker ghosts. They even got some candy! She is not a huge fan of her wig but I kept trying and got a couple pictures! She is Deedee Doodle from The Doodlebops! I wish I would have taken my good camera but I'll have to settle for these pictures. I'm sure there will be more later too! I'm excited for more Halloween fun!

She was not happy with me! But she just looked so cute with the wig!

She loves to color so I found a crayon in my purse so she could color her ghost

All the kids... or most of them anyway!

We miss Grandma

Grandma came to visit this last weekend and it was so much fun! We miss her already. We picked up Eric from school one day and did some shopping at Town Square. Then we came home to eat pizza and watch the BYU game. Ava loved having someone else to play with. Grandma took her on a walk every morning (sometimes twice a day) and she loved it. She started bringing her shoes or grandmas shoes to her which meant take me on a walk please! We ate at all our favorite places and even got to go on a date just me and Eric. We haven't done that since our Anniversary in February. It was so great, we ate at Red Robin and then got a couples massage! It felt so good. I did miss being able to lay on my stomach and back though! But any massage is a good massage! :)
We tried to stop her but grandma managed to catch up all the laundry, do all the dishes, basically clean the whole house and let me take some naps! It was a much needed break for me. I'm glad that one day she got to lay by the pool and read her book! It went by way to fast but we are so glad she came to visit! Ava got up on Monday and kept saying "ma" "ma" and looking in her room. She also said it when we left for our walk that morning. So cute. Love you mom! THANKS for EVERYTHING!

Ava loves having her legs tickled with grandmas long nails! If she stopped she would grab her hand and put it on her leg!

Ava's monkey socks. She was so excited about wearing these socks everywhere!

UNLV Golf Classic

Last weekend Eric played in a golf tournament at school with his friends. He said they had tons of fun and did pretty well. (I couldn't get him to post this.) One of them took a camera so here are some pictures of them.

They got dinner after too!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday for play group we went to Gilcreast Orchard to pick pumpkins for the kids. It was actually a little chilly too. Ava had so much fun trying to find some good pumpkins. After that we went to Afton's house to frost Halloween sugar cookies. Ava mostly enjoyed the frosting and making a mess! We always have fun though. Thank goodness for play group!

Hanging out in the car while we waited for everyone

It's a...

We had our 18 week ultrasound today and found out we are having a

BOY!!

Most of you already knew because we actually had a ultrasound in Utah at 13 weeks and the guy told us it was a boy. But I was in such denial I wanted a second opinion and was leary of telling people. Which is funny because when we had an ultrasound at 13 weeks with Ava and the guy gave us only an 80% chance it was a girl, I ran right out and bought a pink outfit. This time the same guy said it was 100% a boy and I was like "maybe he is wrong, it might still be a girl", "it was too early to tell" and "I didn't see anything so I can't believe it". I think it's safe to say I was hoping for a girl. It's been really hard for me to get used to the idea of having a boy (I have a list of reasons) but today I actually felt ok about it. The ultrasound was great, the lady was so nice and his little body was so cute. He weighs 12oz right now! There is NO denying that it's a boy. We got very clear pictures (a little too clear maybe)! Although she called him "a chunk" and said his hands and feet were big, along with his head, (not surprising with my baby girls head always being in the 90th percentile) I am coming around to the whole boy idea! I think it's time for a little retail therapy! :) So with out further ado here HE is!!
