Messy Boy

This little monkey can make the BIGGEST messes! He has perfected the art of rubbing the food across his face and in his hair! For some reason we didn't put a bib on him but usually that doesn't help much. He was super messy the other night and so happy about it!

I just love her

We were at a friends house and the girls were playing dress up. They all came down in princess dresses and Ava came down like THIS! She makes me laugh! She definitely has her own little personality! I forgot my camera so Karrissa took a picture for me.

Saturday morning breakfast

We LOVE Saturdays! Especially making a big breakfast together. When ever I give Ava the choice of what she wants for breakfast and I mention eggs, I always know she will choose EGGS! She loves her egss and pancakes. Eric let her help crack the eggs a few months ago when they made me breakfast for my birthday and she was been doing it ever since. She used to just squeeze the egg with one hand and most of it would make it in the bowl, but so would alot of little shells! We recently taught her to use both hands. She taps it on the bowl and really does a good job! Of course she has to do everything all by herself. She has a very independent little personality! Last Saturday she was being so cute and helpful I had to take some pictures.

I left her for a minute to do her thing while I got some other things ready. When I came back she had cracked like 7 eggs! So we had plenty to eat!

Some how we all ended up in the kitchen playing. Ava was running and Dresden was wishing he was running! She was being so cute, giving him lots of kisses and giving me her cute pose! This was one of the first pictures I took and I didn't change my camera settings so Ava is out of focus but I still love it!

Dresden update

Dresden turned 8 months on Oct 23rd! He is getting so big so fast! I actually look forward to him getting older though. He can be such a little punk already! I don't ever remember Ava throwing fits like he does. They mostly come when he wants to go outside and I don't, or he wants me to walk him everywhere, and when I try to feed him vegetables. It's not all bad though. :) He has the cutest laugh and smile and loves to watch Ava. He laughs at everything she does, and climbs all over her. He pulls her hair ALOT!
He will eat any fruit! He sometimes will eat the yellow vegetables but not the green ones! He spits it out every time, and I mean blows raspberries spits it out! He makes such a mess! His favorite are apple slices and graham crackers. He has also had a few banana pieces, raspberries, black beans, and yogurt. He still has no teeth so he just gums everything.
He is not a great sleeper STILL! He wakes up once a night but never at the same time. For some reason he thinks he doesn't need much sleep! He takes two naps, one is an hour and a half and one is an hour to an hour and a half.
The one thing that will always make him happy(unless he is crazy tired) is walking with me. He as been holding my hands and walking since a week before his 7 month mark. He has gotten quite fast and can do it with one hand for a little bit. He knows exactly where he wants to go and just leads the way. He also finally started CRAWLING!! Well it's more of a scoot where he drags the one leg but he is getting better and better. Monday was the first day. He scooted his little leg 4 times! And since then he is getting braver and trying it more. Now he is all over the rug. He doesn't go far fast but he can get where he wants to go! He can now roll both ways and push himself up from his belly. He still prefers walking with me though. The first video is Monday and the second was today! He already getting better!

He can sort of clap now, it's so cute, but we wouldn't do it for the camera.
The day after he turned 8 months we went to get him out of his crib and he was sitting up! While we were playing he pulled himself up. So we had to lower the crib a little. Which for some reason makes him seem so old!
We LOVE our little Dresden! (aka, Dresden-Do, Dude, brother(from Ava), Dre, chuba's)

Ward Trunk or Treat

We had so much fun this year, probably because we actually got into it and dressed up! We haven't dressed up since our first Halloween married!
We ate some chili, Ava did a cupcake walk(sort of), and got LOTS of candy! It was fun to see everyone all dressed up.

I know... seriously Eric's wig kill's me! haha We are pretty awesome hippies! :)

Ava didn't walk around she was too busy dancing to the music

Dresden trying to eat all the candy! He was daddy's helper handing out candy in the trunk!

Halloween day was pretty chill. We did some trick-or-treating with the Jamison's and Meng's at a few business's by smith's. They give you a map and you walk around and get candy and a few give out coupons. The best part was the end where we got FREE dinner at Chipotle's! And we only got ONE trick-or-treater the whole night! We have so much candy now. I had to post this picture. While we were getting ready Ava had gotten out a bowl of candy and left it on the floor. Dresden made his way over and found a sucker. We came out and he was sucking away on that thing! It was so funny! He was LOVING it!!

Ava's Halloween Party

Ava was able to go to a little Halloween party with her friends. It was sooo cute, Becca did such a good job putting it together. There was lots of fun games and great food!
When the kids got there Colette was telling Halloween stories. Then it was time for the pumpkin toss, pin the nose on the pumpkin, and a Halloween matching game. After that the kids had to find treats in a bowl of witches fingers(baby carrots), gobblin guts(spaghetti), and monster eyes(peeled grapes). The next game was a mummy wrap, where the kids added onto a scary story. It was then time to make the Witches Brew(homemade root beer). It was fun to watch the kids listening intently to Colette tell the story and make the brew. They thought it was pretty cool! Lunch was delicious! The kids enjoyed the monster mouths, cheesy fingers, and mummy dogs! It was a little crazy with 8 preschool kids, their little sibling and the moms but we had a great time!

Halloween Pictures

Eric and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch to try and get a few good ones of them in their costumes. Ava tried so hard to focus when we told her she could go down the slide if she would smile! She even struck some random poses!
