Officially in nursery

We made it! Dresden is now in nursery. The first day was pretty good. He was a little sad at first but eventually he got used to it and they said he did good. It helps that he is in there with Ava. Poor Ava has a February birthday so she will be the oldest when she goes to primary in January. Dresden is obsessed with her so it works. He is such a big boy. I tried getting a few pictures before church but this was all I got. This kid doesn't hold still for long. He is a pro now and goes in nursery no problem.

Daddy trying to get him dressed! I love seeing my two boys in the shirts and ties!

My handsome boy!!

After seeing that I was trying to take a picture of Dresden Ava decided to jump in front and make weird faces.

He could not get away from me fast enough!

skeleton jammies

We are ready for HALLOWEEN! I just thought they looked adorable in their new jammies. Ava LOVES them and wants to wear them almost every night. They glow in the dark so it was so funny watching them run around in the dark seeing only the bones!

grandma's visit

My mom came out to visit us last weekend. It was UEA in Utah so she had a break from school. It was so nice having her here. Ava and Dresden enjoyed the extra attention for sure. We mostly got organized around the house and relaxed. It's so nice to get things checked off the to-do list. She was so nice to watch the kids so we could have time together too. We also at at Cabo, which has the best chips and salsa ever! It was a nice but to short weekend! Thanks for coming mom!

Ava would only listen to stories read by grandma, even Dresden got down from my lap and ran in to read with Ava and grandma!

feeding fish with daddy

Eric had a little daddy daughter date last week. He went with some friends to Lake Mead to feed the fish. Ava was beyond thrilled that she was going with daddy all by herself. She proceeded to tell Dresden "sorry buddy you are going to stay here with mommy"! It was ok though Dresden and I had fun too!
She came home and had lots to tell me! They saw LOTS of fish and fed them cereal and popcorn! I think two big bags. Apparently there were some funny looking fish! Then they went to lunch with everyone. She said she had fun with Corbin and Tae!
Eric's phone died so I was glad Ryan and Jesse took some pictures!

Ava and Corbin getting a close look!

Ava and daddy

This video is actually just to document Ava. I was going through old videos and found one of Ava when she was a little over two and I couldn't believe her speech. At that point she was already in speech but it was crazy to hear her little voice say only a couple words at a time and still leaving off the end of the word. So I thought I would get her talking and video it. Hopefully to look back at it later and see even more progress! She really has come a LONG way. I love the way she talks right now! She says the funniest most random things. I love that she sometimes calls Dresden "bubba" or "buddy".

Ava's dance class

We decided to switch it up a bit and put Ava in dance instead of gymnastics. It's a cute musical movement class where they do a little bit of ballet as well as some fun stuff with pom poms, dress up skirts, and free dancing. Her teacher is super cute with the kids and Ava loves her class. She always loves to come home to show daddy her "new moves" and is constantly saying "watch me"!
Ava was so excited to have grandma in town to see her dance.

she loves to pose

These two are so silly! They get to hang out while the girls are dancing

Ava gets to dance with her friend Brinley too!

I can't get very good pictures through the glass but they are riding the witches broom!

I knew I would actually remember to video during a random time but they really do have fun! :)

Strawberry jam

A couple weeks ago a few of us got together at Becca's to make strawberry jam! The strawberries were on sale so we made lots! It was my first time and so much fun. It's so yummy and was pretty easy. Thanks girls!

Lincoln Nebraska

After months of applications, externships, and interviews, we finally know where we will be heading when Eric graduates! He was accepted into the Endodontics program in Lincoln Nebraska! Most schools require students to have had a year of experience so we were extremely happy everything worked out. I'm so proud of all his hard work! We feel so blessed to be moving on to this next step in our lives!
