Christmas Day

Christmas morning started pretty early and not on purpose. Poor Dresden wasn't feeling very well and woke up even before Ava! Ava was excited to see if Santa came though. I loved seeing her gasp when she saw all the presents. She was fun to open presents with. Dresden was not too happy so we decided to let him open his biggest present from Santa. It was a big Buzz Lightyear! He was just fine after that although he was pretty stingy with the smiles. We finished opening presents and let the kids play for a bit. Ava was thrilled with her new pink baby doll and doctor kit and Dresden could have just got the buzz and Iron Man and been completely happy!

Dresden was too into Iron Man so Ava decided to use his toy! She is our silly girl!

After that we had breakfast with my parents and my brother's family. Then we got ready and opened a few presents from my parents. Ava and Dresden were super spoiled and loved every bit of it. Ava especially loved her Tag Reading System, ice cream play-dough stuff, and cash register. Dresden was obsessed with his cars and track, books, and magnets. They both got so much stuff we aren't going to have to buy toys for a long time.

We then headed to Eric's parents house. We had fun visiting and doing a white elephant gift exchange. Ava is still playing with the whistle she got from Grandma Wilbur. Dresden needed a nap(and by Dresden I mean all of us!) so we headed home. Later that night we opened a few more presents and then played games. We really had a great Christmas!

Ava couldn't wait to play with the play dough so we opened it Christmas night. It was actually really fun!

She also wanted to play with her Tag Reader before bed. She read books almost every day after Christmas! She really was just laying there grinning as she touched words and pictures! It was pretty cute.
