Random June

^^Eric got me in for a root canal before we left. Best one I've ever had! I was so impressed with him. I just love seeing him at work.^^

^^Ava grabbed the whole bag of books from the library and started reading. She is so good at reading, I was surprised how fast she caught on. ^^

^^A little front yard golfing lesson.^^

 ^^Last Surgical Specialities dinner^^

^^Always a good time swimming with these girls!^^

^^ Getting distracted while trying to fold laundry. Nora is so cuddly, she will just lay there on me and be so still.^^

^^A beautiful Nebraska view! I miss it so much.^^

My first Sprint Triatholon

My friend Ashley asked me about a month before the race if I wanted to do it with her. We were originally going to move the last week in June but decided to stay for the 4th. After talking with her a bit more I decided it would be fun to try. There were a 5 of us that were going to do it so we would get together a few times a week and practice the swimming part. Swimming was by far the hardest. It just wares me out! I did a lot of running in the treadmill and then biking but after trying it outside I realized it's not the same at all. Riding the bike outside was so much harder than inside. I wished I had more time practicing outside. I only did it a couple times. Having to pack didn't give me much time either.
My mom was in town so it was fun to have her there. The Tri was at Norfolk YMCA about two hours away so we stayed in a hotel that night. I was so so nervous! Swimming was just freaking me out. I just didn't want anyone to have to pass me. :) It was a 300 meter swim, 10 mile bike, and 2.5 mile run.
It was so fun waiting with my friends for it start and once it did I had so much adrenaline that it didn't seem that bad. And no one passed me on the swimming part. Biking seemed to last forever and we had a terrible head wind. I thought it was the hardest part of the race. Running wasn't to bad, but I was still so happy to see the finish line! I finished in 1 hour and 14 minutes including transitions. Which I was happy about since I didn't have anything to compare it to. Also I didn't finish last! :) I hope to do another one as soon as I find someone to do it with me!

^^There are a few things I would do differently next time, what a wore in general and for sure what I wore swimming! Lesson learned.^^

^^Me trying to change. Not a good idea while wet!^^

^^The kids were so sweet waiting for me!^^

^^Eric was so supportive through this.^^

^^So happy my mom was there to watch.^^

^^I LOVED racing with these girls!^^

Graduation

6.21.2013
School is out forever!! They call it graduation but it's fairly small. And since there are only two graduates I guess it makes sense. It was held in a private room in a restaurant with the whole staff and all the residents. While we ate we watched a video slide show of Eric and Jeff and mingled with everyone. I loved hearing all the wonderful things people were telling me about Eric. So many of them were going out of their way to let me know how much they loved him and that they are going to miss him.
After we ate Dr. Alsaleeh talked about each one of them and then Jeff and Eric gave their little speeches. Eric's was wonderful and he even did something I hardly EVER see him do...he cried! It was when talking about his family. Lucky for me I got it on film!
The residents below him also do little gag gifts and Eric got superman underware! Apparently he was known as super Endo! :)

I could not be more proud of him. He really has worked so hard and is so smart. It's been a crazy 10 years of school. And now that we are out I want to go back! We met so many wonderful friends that will always be our good friends. Life in school was pretty great.

Ava was pretty excited about eating daddy's face!

Eric and Jeff

My 30th Birthday

I am officially in my thirties! I don't know why I expected my "30th" to be so exciting but when I talked to my sister that day we were both like "is this really it?", neither of us were doing anything. We were both home alone with our kids with no real plans for the day. Too bad we don't live in the same city! All day I was trying to convince my kids to be good because "it's my birthday"! :) Once Eric got home it got better, he brought home an ice cream cake and balloons, and our sweet friends the Roberts watched our kids so we could go to dinner. It ended up pretty great after all.

A few days later I got to go to dinner with my friends. Mikail was so sweet to plan everything and even bring tiaras! I love these girls so much and miss them like crazy!

^^We missed Stacy who was on vacation for what seemed like forever!^^

Mikail also made sure to call ahead and make sure they could make me a giant cookie, knowing how much I love them! Most thoughtful friends! :)

Father's Day

6.16.2013
I could never say enough good things about Eric and the wonderful daddy he is! We loved celebrating him and everything he does for our family. He is such a hard worker and we love him so much!
I felt like it was a bit of a let down from last year but we were super busy and about 3 weeks away from moving so the house was pretty crazy. He loved it anyway though! :)

^^early church equals cereal for breakfast :)^^

^^I ordered these cute cookies since most the kitchen was packed up^^

^^We continue to work on Eric looking a little more enthusiastic in pictures! :)^^

^^I always love doing these with the kids!^^

Miss Nora

June 2013
Sometimes Eric feels the need to remind me that I have other children! :) But I can't help but want to  take her picture all the time. She learns and changes so much every day. I am positive I have just as many baby pictures of Ava and Dresden.

 loves babies and kissing babies
She got really excited about walking with us and that faded pretty fast. She loves to crawl and I'm not sure she'll walk for a really long time.

one of these things is not like the other

I came back from a workout and didn't see Nora in the baby area. After scanning the room I saw her in the walker. I immediately thought she was too little for that...but of course she really wasn't. She was loving it. My baby is growing so fast. I keep seeing her as just a tiny baby!

Popsicles are one of her favorite things!

Sometimes I just stick her in with Eric for quick rinses. She loves to play and look over the bar!

A day at the pool. She loves apples even though she can't get anything off them. Poor girl with her two tiny teeth! She looks to cute in her little hat too!

her favorite drawer to play in.

More kisses for her baby

Her mohawk is getting longer :)

Little stinker could't resist the chalk.

She loves Ava's pony. SHe just plays with it's hair and stares at it.

Love this sweet girl so much. She is getting more and more fun all the time. She is a pretty easy going baby and loves to cuddle. She is for sure still a mama's girl too.
