April Fools cupcakes

We got together with some friends on April Fools to make the cutest cupcakes. It took a bit for the kids to get why they were silly but they really enjoyed making them and of course eating them. My favorite was the mashed potatoes.

The kids love jumping on the tramp. I'm glad some of our friends have backyards!

Eric's twenty ninth Birthday

March 29th was Eric's 29th birthday! I can't believe this is his last year in the twenties! We didn't do anything to exciting on his actual birthday. He had to go to school. But the kids and I made pictures and wrote messages on the sidewalk with chalk and left him some love notes around the house. We went to dinner with just us too. The next day we had all our friends over to celebrate with ice cream and strawberry shortcake. I know I say it all the time but we have the greatest friends ever! We are so glad the Winwards, Kinghorns, Nelsons, and Jamisons could come help us celebrate. And they were so sweet to get him a present. We kinda stretched his birthday out because on the weekend we went out to dinner with our friends with no kids! We went to B.J's with Kinghorns, Winwards, and Martins. It was so yummy and we even got dessert. And I'm pretty sure it's the best dessert ever invented!
Eric I am so thankful for all you do! I am so lucky to have you and appreciate all your hard work with school and being such a great daddy! We love you!

The kids had fun drawing with the chalk. I love Ava's picture of daddy and her little note!

Eric got his own birthday treat!

The best dessert ever! And yes we ate it all!

Spring Break

Eric had his spring break about a week ago. It was so nice to have him home all day, especially after he had been so busy and stressed with the Regional licensing exam (WREB) the week before. We got to hangout with friends alot and Eric even got to come to a few of my gym classes. Dresden got pretty attached to having his daddy home. And Ava wanted to just play all day.
One of the days we decided to do some things down on the strip since we only have about a month and half left of living here! :( We went with our friends the Kinghorns to the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign and took a few pictures then to the MGM to see the lions. The kids loved the lions! They were so excited. When we first got there they were all being lazy and just laying on the top but after a while they started moving around. After that we ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. It was great food but way too expensive! But we had so much fun hanging out together. Dane and Camille are also leaving in a couple months. We are sure going to miss them.

Trying to make Dresden laugh and look at the camera for 5 seconds! :)

Dresden trying to give Madisyn luvs!

My kids won't stand still for me so I took some of Madisyn

Dresden has mastered the cheesy smile!

for fun

I don't know why I took these, just boredom I guess! Ava loves to be silly in front of the camera.

These were right outside our house for awhile! Now they are gone and it's just green leaves! Apparently spring is over here!

St. Patricks day

We asked Ava what St. Patricks day was the day before and she said, "if you don't wear green you get pinched." I was actually surprised she even knew that. We have never done anything for St. Patricks day but since Ava is getting older I figured she would have fun with it. We had green eggs, green yogurt and of course lucky charms for breakfast. Dresden wouldn't know what to do with out his "ceral" in the morning. And Ava was excited to go to school with her green on. After she came came home we had a little treasure hunt with shamrocks. A sneaky leprechaun left clues to a fun treasure. Ava loved it and Dresden loved his green treats!

Helping

Eric was working on the car the other day and Dresden was so excited when he saw him. He ran over and grabbed a tool and started poking around at things. I love his serious face in these. Like he is really working on the tire! I love these two!

Silly

Dresden makes me laugh so hard sometimes! We usually ride bikes outside with our friends the Mengs before Ava heads to pre school. We meant to hide it but Dresden found his "iron man" costume. I don't know why he refuses to call it Spiderman but he does. But then on the way out he grabbed his iron man mask. Seriously I am like boarder line embarrassed! He has this like dead serious look like it's totally normal to wear costumes and masks to ride bikes outside! We still love him though!
