Ava update

I wanted to do a little Ava update just for record purposes. She is improving SO much with her speech! Just the last few weeks and she is finishing her words and saying so many new words she never tried before! And my very favorite thing that I've been waiting for is her copying what I say! It's the cutest thing. I love talking to her and actually having conversations. I feel like I'm getting to know her better. I'm so proud of her. I know sometimes she gets frustrated when I want her to say a full sentence but she keeps trying. She is getting better at talking to her friends but we're working on full sentences right now. Although just writing them down doesn't do the sweet way she says them justice, here are a few new and favorite things she says right now...

She loves to yell "NO" at us so I told her she never tells mommy no, you always say yes mommy I will. So now instead of yelling no, she YELLS "yyees" and "uuhh-hhuu". The first time I heard her do this I had to laugh. Apparently I needed to be more clear about the yelling part! It's still pretty funny though!



Ava watched me cut some things out a while ago so we bought her some of her own scissors to practice with. She LOVES them! Just randomly she will say "I wanna cut cut"! I was working on finishing a few little crafts and the stuff was still on the table so she just climbed up and was in heaven with the scissors, buttons, hole punch and paper. It was so cute, she was working really hard and so into it. She could cut up paper for hours!
