Checking teeth

Ava was going around sticking one of Eric's little dental mirrors in everyone's mouth one day. She has seen Eric do it one too many times. She kept saying "say ahhhh". It's funny to watch her pick up on things like that.

St George

Our last stop in Utah was St. George with our friends. We stayed at the Nelsons place and went boating at Sand Hollow. It was a BLAST! We had so much fun playing with everyone. We had a BBQ the first night and then let the kids swim in the pool. Ava all of a sudden wanted her floaties on and she did so awesome once she figured out she was fine with out Eric! She thought is was so cool to swim by herself. We were so proud of her. It was all she wanted to do the rest of the trip. The next day we got up, made breakfast, and heading to the lake. We went wake boarding, which Eric and I need some serious practice with! It's was such a beautiful lake. We even did the banana boat. The first trip Ava fell asleep. Then all the girls went! We were laughing so hard, it was super fun! The boys went after us and they were even funnier! A little storm ended our time out there early so we packed up and headed home. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then went home, ate too many cookies and played imagine if! The next morning the girls did a little shopping while the guys watched the kids! Sooo nice! It was a great way to end the break. Thanks Nelsons, we had the best time! This is totally a picture overload but this is nothing compared to how many pictures we actually took!

The back arch

This is the back arch I mentioned before. It's what he does when ever he feels he's been on his back for more than a minute! He has gotten quite good at it, he can hold it for a few seconds. Only his head and feet touch the ground. If we don't buckle him into his car seat, he will arch all the way out onto his bum! He's such a little stinker. Here are a few pictures I got while we were in Utah.

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake again while we were in Utah. We of course had a blast! The first two days it was just us. We had fun swimming with Ava and playing in the sand. It was nice being on our own little vacation for a couple days. Dresden was so much fun, he was loving the sand. It was nice this time that he could sit up and play. My brother and his family came up with my mom later. Ava was so excited to play with the boys. They had fun playing on the shark in the lake and coloring rocks. We got Ava a life jacket so she could go by herself, which was so nice. My brother brought his 4-wheelers up and we went for some super fun rides. Ava loved riding with Teigun and looking for cows. Dresden even came with us one time! I was so sad I forgot my camera but it was beautiful at the top of the mountains. I can't wait to go back next summer!

Thanksgiving Point farm

Ava and I went to the Thanksgiving Point farm while Eric went golfing and Grandma watched Dresden. We has lots of fun with my sister-in-law Camille and my three nephews Teigun, Tyson and Taige. Ava LOVES them and asked every day to play with them. She still asked even when we got home! She loved the farm this year. Last year she a little scared of everything and wouldn't ride the horse. This year she was so cute on the horse and asked for more when it stopped. It was so fun watching her enjoy it and get excited. She is becoming such a big girl.

Family BBQ

A few days after we got to Utah we had a BBQ with my family and some cousins. It was so fun seeing everyone and all their cute kids. We had some great food and then headed over to play baseball. I haven't played for so long but it was super fun and needless to say I was a bit sore the next day! The kids had fun playing on the toys and my mom, brother and sister-in-law were nice enough to play with Dresden so Eric and I could play. Towards the end we let the kids hit some balls and run around. Ava was soooo excited! You could tell she thought it was the coolest thing. Anything that has to do with running and Ava is happy!

New bed

We have been in Utah for the last three weeks. We got home on Friday so I'm working on getting caught up. I still have some pictures from before we left!

Ava has been sleeping in a big girl bed for about 4 months now. We made the mistake of laying with her til she fell asleep. We tired to stop and for a while she did pretty good, she would come out but then go back in and fall asleep. Then I went to Utah and she got used to sleeping in the room with me. We came home and it just went down hill from there. She would quietly come down and fall asleep on the cold tile floor by the kitchen table. We didn't even see her come down we only heard her breathing. Then she started falling asleep on the stairs. Seriously so uncomfortable and we were worried she would fall off. I had to take a picture one night. She had set up her own little bed with some stuffed animals and books. She is so funny! One time I was trying to get her to go to her own bed and started talking about her pillows, and warm soft blankets. Next thing we know she went up stairs. We were like yeah it worked but a few minutes later she came out with her pillow and blankets and set them out on the landing! We are still working on it and hope things change soon!
